Dear visitors of the Sonisphere Festival in Jonschwil,
In the “A-Z“ section you will find all the essential informations about the festival. Please read those carefully in order to make this an unforgettable event for everybody.
Travel to the festival site
Since we expect heavy traffic on the day the festival starts, we recommend arriving on Thursday, 17th of June 2010.
Furthermore, we suggest public transportation to get to the festival site.
Travel by train: your arrival station is Schwarzenbach SG. Railway schedules, including extra trains, can be obtained at : http://sz.sonispherefestivals.com
The SBB offers passenger to Schwarzenbach special tickets incl. night shift premium. The special tickets have a 3 day validation for a singular round trip.
The easiest to get your ticket is at the ticket box at any station or call the Rail Service 0900 300 300 (CHF 1.19/Min. from the Swiss Fixnet)
Travel by car: Take Motorway A1 from Zurich, direction St. Gallen. Take exit Wil or Uzwil. Once you get off the motorway, signage will guide you to the festival site.
If you use navigation systems, please dial in CH-9536 Schwarzenbach SG.
Litter
The organizer kindly asks every visitor to deposit trash in designated bins on and around the festival site. Trash bags will be handed out for those using the campsite.
IDs and Passports
Due to the Swiss law, the organisator is bound to check each visitor’s age. Please get an official document ready (ID, passport, etc.) while your wristband is handed out at the entrance. Visitors under the age of 16 are allowed only when accompanied by an adult or showing an appropriate, signed form (which can be downloaded here).
Wristbands
Tickets will be exchanged for a wristband before the main entrance. Visitors using the camp site will be charged an additional fee of CHF 10 per person.
For our disabled visitors
The festival site is not fully equipped for wheelchair usage. But there will be a special viewing platform with direct sight to the stage. Also, facilities for the disabled are provided next to the toilettes.
Tickets have to be bought at the Ticket Box Offices or over the Website. The same applies for the assistent.

Cash
There is an ATM (cash point) available where withdrawals can be made, using common credit and debit cards (maestro).
Bus transportation
Public bus transportation serving Wil-Schwarzenbach-Jonschwil-Uzwil is not available for festival goers. Alternatively, use the railways from Wil/Uzwil to Schwarzenbach and vice versa.
Camping and RVs
There is a designated parking area for camper vans and mobiles. An additional parking fee of CHF 20 will be charged per car, another CHF 10 for campsite entrance. It is not possible to obtain electricity. The campsite fee includes:

CDs and merchandise articles can be purchased at the artist shop onsite.

Here you find a check-list consisting of what should not been forgotten when visiting Sonisphere Festival, especially those planning to overnight on the camp site.

Drugs
Possession, dealing and consumation of illegal substances are strictly forbidden on the entire site (including parking area and campsite).
No cans are allowed on the festival site.
Shower facilities
There is a limited number of showers and washing stations onsite.
Admission check
There will be admission controls for both the festival area and the campsite. Our security staff has the right to refuse permission to persons carrying forbidden objects.
Euro
It is possible to pay in Euro (notes only, no coins). Exchange rates are: 1 Euro = 1.50 CHF. Cashback in Swiss Francs only.
Fire places
Making fires on the meadow at the campsite is not permitted. Small grill stations (as you find in supermarkets) are allowed, if it doesn’t cause any damage to the campsite ground. Misconduction will be charged with a compensation fee of 100 CHF.
Food
Festival visitors can choose from a wide variety of food stands. Some of them are open 24/7 on the concert area. You will find them inside the party tents.
Lost & found
Found items can be handed in at the infopoint on the main entrance. Call ++41 (0) 71 932 00 60 to check whether your lost object has been found (after the festival only).
FIFA soccer world championship
Current World Championship games will be screened in the party area during the festival.
Travel by foot
Footways to the festival site are signposted from train station Schwarzenbach and every festival parking.
Drinks
There is a wide variety of drinks inside the festival zone. Catering stands are open 24/7 within the party area. It is not allowed to bring your own drinks inside the concert area.
Ear protection
Festival vistors have the opportunity to obtain free ear protection at the main entrance.

it is forbidden to bring any kind of glass (bottles, etc.) inside the festival area (including campsite).

The organisator claims exclusion from liability regarding accidents and thefts.
House rules
Please mind the house rules attached on the entrances.
Hotel
There are plenty of overnight facilities in Wil SG, Uzwil, Kirchberg or Lütisburg. Both campsite and camper parking is available.
Animals
Animals (dogs, etc.) are not permitted, neither in the concert area nor on the campsite.
Information
The info-point is found at the main entrance, right besides the counter. Please note the opening hours according to the posting.
Counters
Provided that the festival is not sold out in advance, remaining tickets will be sold with a surcharge at the counter by the main entrance. The organisator strongly recommends to use presales.
Tickets for the campsite and/or camper parking can be purchased on-site only. Please check Buy Tickets.

Persons under 16
Children and teenager under the age of 16 are only allowed when accompanied by an adult or carrying a special admission form which can be downloaded here.
Property damage
Festival visitors are requested to avoid any kind of property damage (e.g. fire places, etc.) on-site. A minimum fee of CHF 100 (65 Euro) will be charged in case of misconduction.
Food
Food and drinks are not allowed to be brought into the festival site. You can bring your own food and drinks into the campsite and camper parking. Please note that no glass is allowed.
Opening hours
1) party area, campsite and camper parking:
Thursday, 17th of June 2010 from 17.00 until Saturday, 19th of June 2010, 17.00 (48 hours non-stop).
2) concert area:
Friday, 18th of June 2010 from 09.00 until Saturday, 19th of June 2010, 08.00.
Parking area
Only the designated parking areas are to be used. You will be given instrucions by our cadets. Parking fee is 20 CHF for cars and CHF 10 for motorbikes (also: see Bicycles).
Returnable bottles (PET-bottles)
It is not allowed to bring returnable bottles into the festival site.
First Aid
Several first aid stations are found on-site. Chrages for medical care and emergency treatment are not included in the festival ticket.
Taxi service
Taxis are allowed to drop off their customers by the turning area for buses right beside the main entrance.
Tetrapack
Tetrapacks are not permitted on the concert area.
Catering
Festival visitors will be provided a wide variety of food and drinks during festival time.
Selling Merchandise
Any sale of merchandising goods is strictly forbidden, except from the official shops inside the area.
Recording devices
Any recording device as well as cameras (photo, digital and video) are prohibited on the concert area. This regulation was applied by our performing artists.
Weapons
Any kind of weapons (guns, sprays, knifes, baseball bats, etc.) and other banned or dangerous objects (e.g. swiss army knife) are not allowed to be brought into the concert area. Neither allowed are rivet belts/wristbands, etc.
Lavatories
Lavatories are installed both inside the concert area and the campsite.
Campsite
A special area for those who like to camp is available. A usage fee of CHF 10 has to be paid in advanced over Ticketcorner (ticket check). The following services are incuded:

Entrance as from Thursday, 17th of June 2010, 17.00 (campsite and party tent containing big screen (soccer games) and live concerts.

Bicycles
There is a special area for bicycle parking. Please note the signposts and follow the cadet’s instructions. Parking fee for bicycles is 10 CHF.
